With Fuel Up to Play 60 (FUTP 60) School Nutrition Association (SNA) members can help students choose to eat healthy, stay active AND earn SNA Continuing Education Units (CEU's)! The School Nutrition Foundation supports and endorses the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, which is a partnership between the NFL and National Dairy Council®, designed to inspire students to "fuel up" with the nutrient-rich foods kids don't get enough of — low-fat and fat-free dairy foods, fruits, vegetables and whole grains and to "get active and play" for 60 minutes a day.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is unique in two ways: it is a youth-led program so students take ownership in making healthy eating and physical activity choices, and it engages the whole school community — school nutrition professionals, teachers, parents, nurses and more — to help support and sustain the program. Students are empowered to lead the effort, and partner with adult stakeholders to create long-term changes in the school-wellness environment.
